Before and after school care

Little Prints runs full-day toddler and preschool programs, and before- and after-school care for kindergarten and school-age children, inside the school building at 3205 Bayview Avenue. It is a separate, licensed, non-profit organisation — not the school, not the board, not this site — so places, fees and day-to-day questions all go to Little Prints directly.

Everything here comes from Little Prints' own site and from the City of Toronto. littleprintsdaycare.com is the source for the programs and the contact details, and the City's record for this centre is where openings and quality ratings are kept current — check there rather than here, because those change.

What runs here

Full day, year round

Toddler and Preschool programs, running all year rather than following the school calendar.

Before and after school

Kindergarten and school-age children, before and after the school day, in the same building they already go to. Camps run for the same ages over the summer and at March break.

The City lists the centre as licensed and non-profit, serving children from 1 year 6 months to 12 years. There is no infant program here — that one is at Little Prints' York Mills centre.

How a school-age day works

From 7:30 a.m.Drop off at the daycare
9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.The school day
Until 6:00 p.m.After school, pick up any time

Your child is dropped at Little Prints from 7:30 a.m., goes into class at 9:00, and comes back to the after-school program at the end of the school day — all in the same building, so nobody is walked anywhere or put on anything. Pick-up is any time up to 6:00 p.m.

On a PA day the centre is open. The school is closed, Little Prints is not, and a child can be dropped for the full day rather than the before-and-after hours. The PA days are listed under Days off school on the front page.

Picking up. Only the people on the authorized list you give the centre can collect your child, and they must show photo ID — so a grandparent or a neighbour helping out needs to be on the list and carry ID. After 6:00 p.m. there is a late fee of $1 a minute per child, billed with the month's fees.

Holidays. The centre closes on the public holidays, including Easter Monday, and closes at 11 a.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Fees are monthly, so a holiday, a PA day or a week away at Christmas or March break is still charged at the regular rate.

The 9:00 to 3:30 school day is the school's own, from the Back to School Guide.

Getting a place

  1. 1

    Call or email the centre

416-226-3336, or blessedtrinity@littleprintsdaycare.com. There is no online registration or waitlist form — the phone and the email are the way in.

  2. 2

    Check the City's listing first

The City's record shows how many spaces each program has and whether any are open today. It is updated by the City, so it is the honest answer to "is there room".

  3. 3

Ask about subsidy if you need it

Little Prints has a Purchase of Service Agreement with the City, so subsidised spaces exist here. You apply through the City, not through the daycare.

What is not on their website

Little Prints' own site lists its programs, hours and contact details, and little else. The handover times, the PA-day opening and the March break camp are not on it — they are here because parents at the school know them. The pick-up, late-fee and holiday details come from the parent handbook Little Prints gives to enrolled families. Confirm anything you are relying on with the centre.
