Raising Hope — free parenting conference (board-wide)

When
3 October 2026, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where
Catholic Education Centre, 80 Sheppard Avenue East

The Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) is the board-wide parent committee, and this is its conference for parents of children in any TCDSB school, kindergarten to Grade 12. It is free, with a light breakfast and lunch.

After the opening keynote, parents choose one breakout by age: Early Years (kindergarten to Grade 3), Middle Years (Grades 4 to 8) or Teens. The second half is a workshop on technology, AI and parenting, followed by the board's Volunteer of the Year recognition.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the programme starts at 9:00. The flyer and the school's email say it ends at 1:30 p.m., but the registration page's own agenda runs to a closing prayer at about 2:10 and books the event until 2:30, so plan for the later time. The venue is the board's Catholic Education Centre at 80 Sheppard Avenue East, near Yonge and Sheppard, and parking is free.

The childcare places, which needed pre-registration, are full. Register on the Eventbrite page, which also carries the full agenda.
