Protecting your family from fraud — free online session (board-wide)

The Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) is the board-wide parent committee. This session is presented by fraud-prevention staff from the Competition Bureau of Canada, and is open to parents, guardians and students across TCDSB.

It covers how to recognise common scam tactics, how to pause and check before responding, how to protect personal information and handle suspicious texts and emails, and where to report suspected fraud. Topics include investment, job, door-to-door, text and email, online shopping and AI-related scams, and it ends with three interactive scam scenarios.

It is a good one to watch together with an older child. Register through the form linked below; the school passed on the flyer on 13 October.
