Newcomer parent workshop — how Ontario schools work (board-wide, online)

The board's Community Relations Officers run this for newcomer families — permanent residents, refugees and visa students who arrived between 2023 and 2026. It covers the school day, busing and attendance, report cards and parent-teacher interviews, special education, and the settlement and language-support services the board can connect you with, in your own language.

The registration form lists this session as the elementary one. There is a secondary-only session on 15 October, which Blessed Trinity families (JK to Grade 8) can skip, and a combined elementary and secondary session on 16 October.
